Crafting Exceptional Landscapes for Des Moines & Beyond: Paver Patios, Planting & More
— Our Top Services
Great outdoor spaces don’t happen by accident.
They’re created through thoughtful design, clear communication, and craftsmanship earned over time.
At Earthly Possibilities Landscaping, we help homeowners throughout the Des Moines metro create beautiful, functional, and low-maintenance outdoor living spaces—without stress, confusion, or pressure.
Earthly Possibilities Landscaping began over 20 years ago with Pat Neuhaus, a shed, and a single wheelbarrow.
Like many great small businesses, it started with long days, hard work, and a commitment to doing things the right way. As projects grew and experience deepened, one thing became clear: the best landscapes weren’t just built—they were designed.
In 2021, we reached an important milestone—expanding our business, purchasing land, and building a dedicated shop and office space to better support our team, our equipment, and our growing design-build process. This investment allows us to operate more efficiently, plan projects more thoroughly, and continue delivering a professional, reliable experience for our clients.
Today, Earthly Possibilities is a trusted residential landscape design-build company serving Des Moines and surrounding communities, known for custom outdoor living spaces, clear communication, and a hands-on approach from start to finish.
Despite our growth, we’ve intentionally remained boutique—so every project still receives personal attention, thoughtful planning, and pride in the details.
Earthly Possibilities Landscaping started over 20 years ago with a simple belief: do honest work, treat people well, and create outdoor spaces worth putting your name on.
That belief still guides everything we do.
I remain personally involved in every landscape design and outdoor living project we take on — from the first design conversation to the final walkthrough — and we intentionally keep our company small so our clients never feel like just another job.
Your home is a significant investment. Your outdoor space should feel equally considered — enhancing how you live, relax, and spend time with the people who matter most.
If we wouldn't do it at our own home, we won't do it at yours.
— Pat Neuhaus, Founder
