The Backyard Bistro
From Grilling Spot to Gourmet Station
The homeowners loved cooking outdoors but didn’t have the setup to match their love of food and entertaining. A standalone grill was getting the job done, but the space wasn’t designed for bigger gatherings or everyday ease. It was time to turn this corner of the yard into a fully equipped destination.
-
Nestled beside the house and shaded by mature trees, the new outdoor kitchen was built with stone walls and topped with polished granite counters. The setting feels both tucked away and open to the landscape, making it a natural gathering spot for family and friends.
-
One grill wasn’t enough for this crew. The kitchen now includes a built-in gas grill, a smoker, and a flat-top griddle, each with its own place in the stone surround. Every meal, from burgers to smoked brisket to pancakes, now has its own dedicated station.
-
Counters wrap around the cooking area with plenty of room to prep, serve, and share. Guests can pull up a seat at the bar-height counter, making conversation part of the cooking experience. It’s part kitchen, part hangout zone, and fully functional.
-
Whether it’s a summer barbecue or a cozy fall evening, this outdoor kitchen is always ready. With seating at the bar and plenty of counter space for platters and drinks, it works just as well for casual weeknights as it does for parties.

“Pat & Cody did a fantastic job on our new patio. From the initial site visit, patio design, through construction, Pat & Cody were professional and communicative. Pat made sure he encompassed our vision and provided us with several designs at different price points. He met with us to pick out the colors to make sure it was what we were aiming for. Overall, a great experience and a professional, courteous job.”
